Modern orthopedic dentistry offers various methods and designs to help patients address issues like tooth crown destruction and partial or complete tooth loss. The prevalence of partial tooth loss among adults is about 70%. Orthopedic dentists aim to provide patients with partial dentition defects the most physiological dental prostheses—fixed prostheses supported by implants. However, there are clinical situations where implantation cannot be performed.
Aim: To improve the effectiveness of prosthetics for partial dentition defects using metal-based lamellar prostheses.
Material and methods: Partial removable lamellar prostheses with a metal base for the upper and lower jaws, involving the mucous membrane of the prosthetic bed, and patients in need of orthopedic dental care.
